We're recruiting! Events Organizers & Bid Writers needed.

We're looking for new volunteers to join the Norwich FoodHub team. In particular, we need Events Organizers and Fundraising Bid Writers to help us spread the word about our activities so we can do even more to combat food waste and food poverty. If you have previous experience in these areas - or maybe want to develop your skills - we'd love to hear from you. You'll be joining the enthusiastic and friendly team who make up our volunteer-led organization.

You'll find more details about each role below. If you're interested, have any questions or just want to find out a bit more about what we do, please send us a message.

Events Organizers

Whether it's participating in local festivals with our smoothie bike or organizing a fundraising gig, events are crucial to building our profile and generating much-needed funds. We hope to build our team of events organizers so we can do much more in these areas.

Tasks include:

* Take a lead in organizing our attendance at a range of public events across the year (organizing stalls, demonstrations etc). A willingness to attend these events would be a real plus. * Take a lead in organizing fundraising events. * Attend our monthly meetings if possible. * Work as part of a friendly and supportive team.

Fundraising Bid Writers

Can you help us to generate more funding so that we can build a more sustainable future, for both the FoodHub and the planet? If you have some experience in finding funding opportunities and/or writing funding bids, we'd love to hear from you.

Tasks include * Research available funding sources. * Work with the team on funding applications. * Contact local funders to arrange meetings where we can pitch for support (attendance optional).

* Attend our monthly meetings if possible.

For all the roles, you'll need to be 18 or over. Although we have a base at Cadge Rd community centre, we do not currently have any office space so volunteers can largely carry out their work at times and in places that suit them.
